Akita Epson announced that it would invest 3.4 billion yen (about US $ 28.22 million) to build a new factory in Tokyo,Japan. After the new factory into operation, the productivity of the company’s inkjet print head is expected to increase twice. Epson’s printing solutions business provides products and services based on original Micro Piezo inkjet technology to customers in the consumer, office, commercial, and industrial markets.
It is reported that the new factory will be started building next month, and is planed to put into use next year. The factory will produce assembled inkjet print heads, of which Epson R2880 Printhead is outstanding.It can be used by different printer series: Epson Stylus Photo R2880/R1900/R2000. It is a new generation print head that allows fast speed, high resolution printing with water-based dye and pigment inks.
